Scope of the service

Muare is a local tool that processes PDFs and JPG/JPEG, PNG or WebP images in the browser to create the appearance of documents that have been scanned, photocopied or aged. It is not a document verification, electronic signature verification or official document production service.

Responsibility for content and use

You must have the necessary rights and authorisations for the files you process, any personal or confidential information, and content belonging to third parties, and you must process them lawfully. You are responsible for checking the result according to your intended use.

Visual signature, stamp and watermark tools

Muare’s visual signature layer places a signature image you choose on the document as a visual layer; it is not a cryptographic, secure or qualified electronic signature. Adding a stamp or watermark does not prove the document’s accuracy or official status.

You may use only signatures, stamps, logos and marks that you are authorised to use. Only one active layer can be present in the editor at a time.

Image-based output and data loss

Processed pages are recreated as images. Selectable text, links, forms, bookmarks, any file attachments, digital signatures, accessibility tags and the original PDF structure in the input PDF may not be preserved.

Image quality and file size may increase or decrease depending on the selected page layout, quality profile and output format. The output created may not be a technical or legal equivalent of the original document.

Original copy and file safety

Muare is not a document archiving service. Keep your original file and any necessary backups; check every page before using the output.

Installation and offline use

Muare can be installed in supported browsers and may work without a connection once offline preparation is complete. The browser or operating system may delete application data; continued offline access and the persistence of saved appearances are not guaranteed. Installation does not create an account, membership or special entitlement.

Service availability

Processing time and success depend on file size, page count, device memory and browser support. Muare is not guaranteed to work continuously or without errors on every device.

Prohibited uses

Muare must not be used for the following purposes:

• forgery, fraud or impersonation,
• unauthorised use of signatures, stamps, logos or marks,
• presenting output in a misleading manner as if it were a genuine or official document,
• infringing third-party rights or processing unlawful content.
